Seven Days of Fun in the sun

We were so excited when our daughter Beth and her boyfriend Chris called us to let us know that they would be joining us in Jacksonville, Florida. They both love the beach and this was a perfect place for them to meet us and stay for a while.

We arrived at Beach Marine late Tuesday, May 13th so this gave us a full day to get all of our work done and the boat clean so that we could play when the kids arrived. Beach Maine was a little pricey for the amenities we received but it was the closest marina to the beach and we knew that the beach was the place to be for Beth. Ever since she was a little girl, she has loved the water and is an excellent swimmer. We visited Jacksonville Beach when she was ten years old at which time she rented a boogie board as soon as we arrived. She was this little tiny girl and she was riding the boogie board like a pro. She is lucky that I am on the boat and not at home or I would be posting all sorts of pictures from the trip when she was ten!

She and Chris arrived safely and on time. They rented a car which got “upgraded” to a mini van much to their total embarrassment but it was great for me because we had lots of shopping to do while they were in Jacksonville.

On Saturday Mark, Chris and Beth spent the day at the beach. Since I really do not care for the beach, I got a hair cut and a pedicure.

The rest of the time we spent eating out, shopping, eating out, walking the beach, eating out, taking a boat trip to the St John’s River, eating out, and going to a water park. The time went by so quickly and too soon we were saying good-bye.
