Beaufort to Slade Creek

It was somewhat cooler and overcast as we waited for the Beaufort City bridge to lift so that we could depart Beaufort, North Carolina. Our day today will be a long one ending with an anchorage at Slade Creek. Some days are just routine if there is such a thing as routine when making a trip like this. I guess by routine, I mean just nature at its best with a colorful house thrown in from time to time. I certainly do not mean boring, just a calm and overcast day filled with lots of knitting that ends at a wonderful anchorage with a glass of wine while watching a beautiful sunset.

Hours on the water: 8.75
